Much of the food we eat is made from animals, for example chicken and beef, or is product of animals, like milk or eggs. Tipically, we eat meat from animals like cow, lamb or chicken, but there are many cultures which take other animals for food, a famous example is the chinese culture, where there are many animals that are eaten, some of those are shown below.
The Guangzhou Restaurant will be used as example.
Snakes, small, medium or large, with which soup is made.
Beetles, turtles, rabbits, or birds are just a few examples of animals that can be ordered for lunch in China.
Generally speaking exotic Chinese food includes insects, invertabrates, reptiles.

:O!! Some day I'll try that curry!!!
ReplyDeleteThe chinese food's video is funny and yummy :S... it demostrate that everything with a stick is edible lol.
For all the bloggers I have the next question: What's the weirdest thing that you have ever eat?
In my case stewed armadillo, it's tasty!! I totally recommend it! :D
Thanks Mauricio for your comments. The weirdest thing I have ever tried was haggis...it is very tasty but here is a recommendation DO NOT ASK WHAT IT IS UNTIL YOU TRY IT. hahaha...Anyway I will tell you what it is about, I tried it in Scotland, it is a typical meal there. the dish uses sheep’s offal(the bits nowadays often discarded; lungs, hearts, liver). The cooked minced offal is mixed with suet, oatmeal, seasoning and encased in the sheep’s stomach. Once stitched up, the stuffed stomach is boiled for up to three hours. You should accompanied it with a good Scottish whiskey or a dark beer.
ReplyDeleteActually I am not so friend of tasting new and strange food, i think i would have serious problems in China, but anyways i think "Hormiga culona" is the weirdest food I have ever eaten, it was not so bad as i imagined, it tasted as peanut. I think if we do not know what we are eating and if it tastes fine, it does not matter what it is, of course if it is not bad for health.
ReplyDeleteAgain thanks for your comments.
